hey guys i sold my blaster back in june and alot of races started coming up and i got lucky and have an awesome friend willing to let me use her blaster when ever i want there is a winter nationals series coming up in a few months im trying to get everything gathered up i havnt done any mx in about 8 years and that was on a little 90 it wont be any really big jumps but i need to widen the quad out if i buy some wheel spacers that just bolt on over top the studs do you think it will be a safety issue at all the bike is prolly 350 and im 120 whats your take on it, iv been racing in circles for awhile now and i never had to worry about it

thanks

i always thought the would be ok. but then i actually went to a mx track and i dont think the spacers would handle the beating. if you land every jump perfect they might hold up, but when you land a bit sideways or land on a flat spot its quite the impact, especially with stock shocks.

I have three inch spacers on the front. It is a whole hub not just stud extensions. I am 250+ and I hammer pretty good on mine and have not had one problem. I personally don't like the idea of stud extensions as it puts all the load on a 10mm bolt. Good luck with mx!

The stud style ones for the front will be fine, I ran a set that I got off ebay, they spread the weight out decent, since the surface of the end of the stud is like 16mm

But the rear you will want a extended axle, see if she would be ok with you puttin a extended axle on it, find. A used one on here or ebay,

The reason I say don't run spacers is, I ran a set of durablues on my 84 200x, tyhey were the square style, and about 10 times jumping a ice shove on the lake I bent the rear axle, never had a problem on my blaster with the stud fronts and I was about 265 lbs at the time

I run the solid block style with through bolts replacing the studs on my 04 for MX and they have held up real well. Someday the axle might bend and then it will be time for an aftermarket axle.

On the front, I have flipped 3/2 offset wheels and +3 a-arms which work very nicely. I wouldn't expect to do much jumping with the stock shocks tho, they will bounce you right off. Spend all your money on suspension.

thanks guys after thinking about it prolly will go with an axle would some shee front shocks be better i really dont wanna spend 500 dollars on shocks that arnt even mine at the end of the day

i got the stud spacers on the back and i hit jumps like in 4th gear an they work fine but i dont know depends on how hard u hit the jumps and how much ur bike weight is if its to heavy and its hits the grounds hard enough they might brake idk i dont race but want to
