got this blaster im trying to sell it from staten uisland NY and i cannot find the vin anywhere but the engine has its stamp can u tell what year the bike is by the engine stamp????

the number on my engine was the same as my vin you can look somewhere to find the years that correspond to a particular letter in the vin
search on here for yamaha VIN decoder. Your VIN# is on the visible side of the bottom frame rail on one side. I can't remember which side though. I think the tenth character denotes the year. Mine is an X so it's a '99.
it is based on the 10th in the vin. the vin is not the same # on the motor case. the vin will be stamped into the frame on the left side of the frame by the foot peg kinda and when u get your vin go here Yamaha VIN Decoder @ Motoverse.com
you could have grinded the vin away, or the frame could have been replaced so there would be no vin on it.
