What year is my Blaster?

Is there any way to tell scecifically what year by Blaster is? I.D. tags or something? I'm not sure what year it is and that bugs me. The guy I got it form told me he thought it was an '86 but they weren't even produced then...

by the footpeg on the frame on the left side.

Find your vin # just ahead of left foot peg.
The year is the tenth letter/number of the VIN.

I just decided to check the vin on my project blaster that the kid told me was a 96, its a 2001 haha that is great, especially since I will likely sell it when I am done
