What year is my blaster engine? HELP PLEASE!

I am at wits end...I am looking for the correct CDI for my blaster and i know the engine was replaced with a different year...but when i replaced it with the CDI from the year i was told...3 prong plug and not 8 like the wire harness from my bike...HELP!!!

does it have a 4 or 5 wire stator?

Yikes...I am not sure...If there is no way to find out otherwise, I will have my mechanic tell me tomorrow.

thats the only difference in the engines is the stator tors and cdi... so yeah check and see if its 4 or 5 wires... 4 wires 88-02 5 wires 03+
