what yall think bout this top end kit?

The only thing i dont like about theses kits is the cheap rod bearing they include as well as cheap gaskets. Buy a wiseco piston on ebay and then get OE gaskets and a good quality rod bearing. Its cheap for a reason.

those paper base gaskets are engine killers, ask awk08, jus get the wiseco the oem gaskets as jay says

Dont forget that RJ sells rod bearings that are cheap as sh*t. RJ is a great place to buy sh*t but there kits are lacking quality. The only good thing about that kit is the piston and rings, the rest is junk.

way to pay attention guys, ......as stated, use only factory yamaha base gaskets

My main concern with that is the chinese rod bearing they include in those kits. I ordered the same kit for a friend and you can see that the rod bearing is made in china. I had to put off a topend rebuild and re-order a wiseco bearing to complete the topend. Yes the paper gasket sux but the bearing is even worse.

thanks for the responses guys....i have a hard time finding stuff on ebay...can someone post some links to cheapest yamaha oem gasket kit and wiseco piston .50 over.....i would really appreciate this. thanks.

thank you drifz1: im confused now tho...the cylinder only needs honed out. the piston that came out says .50 on top....does that mean i need 66.5mm or 67.25mm? there is a sticky on engine section that has cylinder bore to cc conversions, this is where im getting the 67.25...please help

if it only needs honing you need the same size piston that came out( i might be wrong someone correct me if i am!) if its scored to far and it needs to be bored and hone you go up on size to what you already got!
