my 03 blaster piston shattered as you can see in this thread http://www.blasterforum.com/pics-vids-9/piston-damage-2959/
and I think it was from to small of a jet I checked the carb and the guy before me had put a 240 jet in
my mods are a pro circuit header pipe and silencer, a foam air filter with the air box lid still on, wiseco piston, not sure if the reed cage is stock so theres a thread about it on here and I'm getting it bored .20 over what should I rejet to?

when was it last rebuilt? it could be from it being wore out and the piston to cylinder clearnce was to far and broke the skirt. it looks more like that then jetting but i could be wrong.

I have similar mods. I run no airbox lid & I have a Boyesen cage & reeds.

I run a 300 main jet, seems to be spot on for me right now.

take off that dumb airbox lid JABES!!!!

then run a 290-300 but premix to 32:1 if ur gunna do that
its hard to get alot of oil in there with the stock pump with such a high jet

so if dont premix id say 270-280
even thats pushing it without premix (rebuild reallllly quike)

with a premix 32:1 id say def run a 290-300 jet

We usually ride down Philly near the airport, but we have a shop in Chester that we roam the streets sometimes..

Mine has been running exceptionally well lately, but ya.. I use a 300 main, stock pilot jet & maybe 1 1/2 turns out on the screw...

Is there anywhere big to ride up your way? I work in West Chester.
