What is this sound? (tjsdaname)

My Blaster does this, and I have heard two others on video doing it. When you rev it, it gets to a point where it just flutters. At 21-23 seconds, 1:00-1:03, 1:09... You can hear what sounds like a rev limiter. I know, I have read that blasters have no such thing, so what is going on in this video? If it is a problem, what will fix it, because like I said mine does it too? Is this the limit of the engine, rich, reeds, pipe etc?

Engines have a certain point they wont rev anymore. That what that is.

I was hoping to hear that. I was getting ready to swap reeds, coil etc to try and get rid of it. Glad to hear its just my natural red-line.

that sound is mainly rich jetting....

I would hold the throttle wide open until it stops,,,lol..No, really dont do that..It just is hitting its redline thats all..Sounds a little rich too, need to clean it out..

So it would actually rev out even higher with a leaner jet? Or thats pretty much it as far as RPMs go?

I actually have held it wide open in neutral and it does exactly the same thing...

yes, if it is jetted correctly it will rev way higher than in the vid...

in the vid it was jetted about 3 jet sizes to big...

mine sounded the same on the top end when mine was jetted to rich. fixed that problem though.

It is the jetting too rich. When the main is too big you dump too much gas at WOT and it cant burn it fast enough so it starts to bog at the top end.

Ahhh so I am still rich on mine too then. Strange because my last plug chop looked a little lean and it still does that... Guess I'll be playing with the jetting more this weekend.

Turned out I was rich up top due to a Vitos needle throwing my tune out of whack. I put a stock needle in it and it cleared right up
