the only problem with sealing that is that it is meant to drain if anything gets in there through the wire inlet on the top. there is a spot on the bottom that is suppose to be open. i sealed mine once until i saw steam shooting out of the wire inlet..... steam.... electricity.... bad....
that is the noise i remember noob. it sounds the same to me just amplified. I would guess it is that gear. not cheap though, like 65-75 bucks on bikebandit. I need to replace mine and don't want to drop the dough. but i probably will anyway.
