What is known to go bad for the engine!!!

if u are willing to split the cases change everything u have money for, bearings, gaskets, shift star mod, all seals. best to do it right one time and not have to dick around
Check the counter balance shaft gear. Don't know if the gear broke taking out the bearing or vice-versus X( 
Ckunked my case pretty good. I'm just going with a used gear as new is 75$$ 
tho am thinking of maybe a spot of weld from the rivit to plate, wasn't enough left to invision a failsafe mod for it. I mostly just would inspect the bearings in trans, tho the balance shaft turns at crank speed, so probably replace those. I:I
