A guy wants to sell me a 1995 Blaster for $300.00 It needs a top end rebuild ($200 dollars for bore piston and gaskets and rings from a guy here in town) It also needs a rear brake caliper. Should I but it? I bought two in December for $550 (one needed a top end rebuild and one needed an engine). I think I am going to buy it and fix it and then sell it.

just check it out best you can cause you dont want to buy it and then end up having more in it than its worth and more than your going to get out of it!

thats still a pretty good deal for 300 bucks, even if you put money into it, you could sell it ,like you said or part it out. because everyone is looking for extra parts soon or later!

I bought it. It looks like sh*t. It only because the guy spray painted the entire blaster. It is actually in ok shape if you can get over the spray paint. I am going to pull the jug see what I got for the engine. Otherwise I am going to part it out.

use brake fluid on all the spray paint! put it on the parts you want to clean and let them sit for about a day and it'll peal right off! Or just buy paint stripper! ( I recomond the air craft paint stripper), Just remeber, Water neutralizes it so dont use water until your done!

most youll get for a 95 is 700 so dont get to carried away unless u plan on keeping it for your self

Got it all apart stripped and repainted the frame and A-arms today. It looks great. I put 4 coats of implement paint on it because it is durable and then I put 4 coats of clear. Pulled the engine apart and the piston is in tact. The rings are melted in it. Just needs a top end rebuild the bottom end is in great shape. This thing is going to be really nice. I had the whole thing down to the frame on Friday night. I put most of it back together today.

congrats!!! i wonder if somebody can become rich fixing up millllllions of blasters and then selling them
