What Compression

We just had our engine built and I checked the compression and it is 170. I had a nother builder tell me out of the blue that Blasters run the best at 150 and anything over 170 and it won't last long. Now I am really thinking of lowering it. Any imput?

Thanks, We run race fuel,but I'm also wondering if it would have better bottom end with the lower compression. That is basically what the other builder was saying.
