I'm gonna buy me a new carb but I can't deside witch one to go with ? I'm looking at Either a Mikuni 34mm or a keighn 34mm . The Mikuni is a whole lot cheaper but also heard better things about the keighn 34mm . I was going to get a port and polish job and a 3mm stroker kit , just tryin to get me the right carb for the set up ?

With that level of motor, I would just go with either a 33 or 35 Keihin PWK. THe 34PJ works fine but the PWK is slightly newer tech. I'm sure the Mikuni is a fine carb but most peeps on here use Keihin so you will find better advice for those carbs.

I'm runnin close to what you are talkin about doing and i have a 35mm pwk. just keep your eyes open a good deal will pop up on one. i got mine in great condition with a cable for 125

the PJ can be made to work, and i've seen them go for 50 bucks on ebay, but a 33 or 35mm pwk would be your best bet as royalt said

Alright im deciding with the keihin 35mm pwk , but my only question is will i have to get the throttle cable also or will mine work ? I know this sounds stupid but dont know .

i wouldnt go 35 for a non 240 motor, get the 33pwk, and ken oconnor swears the mikuni 34's are much easier to tune than at least the 34 pj's

Alright im deciding with the keihin 35mm pwk QUOTE]

Good call. There are a few people that I know of that run the 35 with a ported stock bore/stroke motor. You'll lose a little low end with the 35 but you'll more then make up for it in the mid/top end
