Getting ready to play port my daughters Blaster , its also Piston time also, quad has a FMF fatty, way better than a stocker I think , im sure they are better pipes but were fine with this one, picked up some V Force reeds also, now im looking at the stock carb, and its got to go!
sooooo this quad not going to scream enough for a 32mm on up, im thinking a 28 or 30 mm either a PWK D slide or Flat slide what fits better and is easier to work on in the quad, going to stay with thumb throttle also.

im running a mikuni 28mm flat side its good so far... bolted right in with no mods besides a throttle cable to run the stock thumb throttle.

i would use the 30mm d slide carb knock off from carb parts warehouse in ohio ,its a pwk keihin replica and much improved updated design over the old school mikuni flatslide junk

yeah, ive got OKO 30mm on all my quads, they are very good and very reasonably priced + if you decide to go wild with your ride you can have them rifled out to 33mm carbs like i did...

28mm is only 2mm bigger than stock...only way I'd do that is if I rode a lot of extremely tight trails...

Was that a flat slide or a round slide, damn I wish they made a Air Striker 29mm

im running a mikuni 28mm flat side its good so far... bolted right in with no mods besides a throttle cable to run the stock thumb throttle.

Again my daughter more or less putts on the Blaster in fact if I dont sell the Mojave 250 in Oct she will be riding that, and the Blaster will go to my Sister, she is used to CR80 and shewill ride the chit out of the blaster , so a 30mm over the 28mm ok, just was worried of loosing that put around low end.

flotek was referring to the 28mm keihin replica, that carb is the OKO 30mm. It is a very nice carb for the money with lots of potential. I run it on my blaster and ive got a fully race prepped diamond national 219cc motor. runs great!

maybe i missed something then becuz' i was under the impression that the 30mm oko flowed like the 28mm keihin. either way, there good carbs for the money and a 30mm wouldn't be too big for your combo, its what i had on a stock blaster w/ a toomey exhaust and ran great...

OK now im flustered , talked to a few local motor builders and said those carbs are a Pian in the fannypack to tune in right, think ill go with a Honda PWK, here is the said thing, I just put a 39 A/S on my 4 trx so I have a 34 PJ sitting around, thinking its a tadd too big, perfect for a 240

28mm flat slide will add a little horsepower.
but a 30mm will do ya better.
if it were me i'd put my money into a good used trengaracing 30mm flat slide carb.

Someone correct me if im wrong, but aren't those the ones that have the cracking problem? thats what i heard anyway.
