We're to measure on your float?

Ok I know the float level should be between 20-21.5 mm. And I know you measusure from the carb gasket surface area . But what point do you measure to on the float ? My float is flat then it gets rounded on the end and that would be the lowest point on the float . We're are you guys measuring to ?

highest point of the float from the gasket surface.
(when holding it in position to measure, same as the lowest point as you refered to it)

Thank you that's what I thought but wanted a 2nd opinion . I bought a small steel ruler that reads in mm today so I can diel it in perfect
