my 96 blaster just got back from the shop they went through the carb and said that everything was great. While i had it in the shop they said that i had no compression and that i needed a new topend. So they put a new topend on they said that the crank was bad at first but then we said well i guess we will junk it. They then backpeddled and another mechanic from the same shop said that it would last a long time. i have drove it roughly 45 mins and i have been very easy on it i have only hammered on it a couple times. I was goin along fine and it seemed like i ran outa gas. I open the gas tank and sure enough it was real low but still had some left in it. I turned it on reserve and it wouldnt start. I went and got my gas can and filled her up. I then turned the gas to ON position and it hasnt started since also the kickstart seems a little just a little easier to press i dont have a comp tester but ik it has real good compression, i have checked my plugs they all look good, alil rich but not major. So i have no clue what the deal is im real frusterated i just spent 572 dollars at the shop i have had it maybe a week and it is already broke.
Thank You for any help =D

sounds it or its the topend when the bike is cool turn the kill swicth OFF and have a bud hold his finger on the spark plug hole then u kick it over if his finger blows off realy fast its got compression

ill check and c but i dont remember seeing any black or stuff comin from or around topend, its gota be the reeds, the topend was just professionally done so i have faith that its not that.

how hard is it 2 get to the reeds. Ik i need to take the carb off, then dont i unbolt the reed valve? and there, right their does that sound right?

take the carb of the there are for 10mil bolts take them out and there ya go slide the reeds out make sure they are slush shuting and no chips
