Safety inspections are bought daily in the USA if you know the right people. I done it many times as well as thousands or more others I am sure.Safety inspections have never proven to save lifes in any state. There are just as many fatalities in states with no inspections like OHIO than there are here in NC. Inspections are just a money maker for the most part because the cars that cant pass get inspected one way or another. A bogus safety check in the usa comes from a legit inspection station just makeing money selling inspections and never really checking the car. The person who will suffer in these cases are the illegal inspection stations who will just loose there rights to do any in the future and they never go after the consumers of said bogus inspections. I say do what you got to do to drive the damn thing as well as take it some place else.
exactly! its just like going to the dollar store and buying a soccer trophy and saying you won a game. The guy that I can get one from just thinks of it as free money, he doesn't give a crap. he knows my truck is safe to drive cause he test drove it.
well im also from nc and they are required by law to report the emissions and the safety data to the dmv for the said vehicle and OBVIOUSLY u dont care about the safety of yourself and others to pay the money for a SAFE vehicle, now if it is safe thats all good and well but when u drive an unsafe vehicle on the road ur not just endangering urself but the others on the road around u just remember that if u know something is not safe on the truck.
for example, we just got back from deployment and the day after we got back my buddy is now in a half body cast due to broken pelvis and broken back because driving down the highway at 60 he slammed into the back of a truck that had a wheel fall off on the highway. his wife has a broken tail bone, so thats the reason safety is a big issue with me because of all these "unsafe" vehicles are on the road and i ride a motorcycle so its even more dangerous. i wasnt trying to be a dick but understand the sh*t that can happen when buying an older vehicle that has more yrs and wear and tear.

I mean look at new jersey. they got rid of the whole safety inspection. just emissions now and jersey is a very populated state with congested roads to match. so you could technically roll wit 3 tires no brakes and be legit oh man thats crazy..
I see where you're coming from but my truck isn't a rickity old piece of crap, I know everything works like it should and the crap I was shoveled about my brakes and everything wasnt true at all. the shop was hoping I wouldnt look at it and take the truck to them and pay them to do all the work. I wouldn't drive it if I knew something was really up with it but I have a lot and it is fine.
I know you was not being a dick smoke. Let me ask you this? Did you know NC if you own a car or truck thats over 35 yrs old it is exempt from a safety inspection?? Its all about money and they dont give a damn about our safety period or the older cars would not be exempt now would they?? Buy a brand new car and guess what ? You need to get inspections at 30 bux a pop even when they are still smelling fresh inside. I repeat a safety inspection will not save lives period because its not ran correctly and statistics have shown it has no impact on deaths on our highways.
