To start, I want to say that I am not a Vito's representative, nor affilitated with them in anyway.

First, I am calling out dirtyblaster and b14573r about the recent thread called "vitos high compression head gasket."

Let's get something straight...Vito's forged piston is made by Wiseco, they use Wiseco's piston rings. If you don't believe me, here is the link, it says right in the description. And if that's not enough proof, call them 888-350-VITO (8486) and ask.

Second thing, Dirtyblaster, if you want to go fast, it costs money...in every thread about vito's, you say they suck...well justify your reasoning why they suck based on first hand knowledge and not hear-say. My piston was shredded so I have first hand knowledge, but guess what, I am getting another one as we speak!

To the rest of the people that think Vito's sucks:

It took a long time to engineer and draft something that Vitos came up with. The notch that you see at the top of the piston is basically tricking the engine to believe there is more exhaust stroke and essentially giving you more power. In order to do that, they use their high compression gasket; adding 5 hp. If you use the high compression gasket on it's own, you may not feel 1.5 hp...it's not much!

In summary, I challenge anyone and everyone that says Vitos suck to ponder this: Wiseco makes Vitos Pistons, therefore Vitos is really Wiseco's only "real" competition...if you were Wiseco, would you make someone else's product sh*ttier so they would buy yours instead? I am not saying that Vitos suck, I am simply saying that if you do think they suck, think of it this way.

I feel so strongly about Vito's products that I will not put anything other than that in my quads. I won't buy any products from anywhere else, commercially.

In addition to all of this, SoloVRT61 posted a thread about mis-informing information on here. Well let me tell you that people from around the world are on here mostly for support...when you put out information based on your "opinion" instead of hard facts, it makes the entire forum look bad and these people may not want to come back. In other words, I am telling those of you I am calling out to STFU (Shut The F--- Up)!

I have to agree, if you are posting info and you are not sure...DONT POST IT!. Only post info if your positive of that anwser.. And if you dont know.. posting " sorry I dont know" or something like that..thats really of no help..

For example I trusted Rocdezzy's older posts where he clearly states that banshee\warrior spindles will bolt rite up to blaster a-arms..ect well i took his word for it and bought the sh*t. it cost me close to 200 and i find out they dont fit the hardway..Whos fault is that.. Its mine! I should have known better.. but I took a chance..I could have easily bought modifed spindles in the first place and saved money..but afte reading the post on her about the warrior\banshee spindles fitting, i figured there was no need..well guess what i had to buy the modifed spinldes ontop of the warrior spindles anyway..

All I am trying to get across here is that this forum is to help people..not to screw them over..or mislead them..so if you can help someone out by anwsering their questions with the correct anwsers..by all means go for it! If you are not sure..dont take a guess, someone who knows will chime in sooner or later..

yea im getting a vitos 240 in the near future, i think they are alright

Id definatly get the vitios 240 kit if i was so hot on doing a YZ 250 swap in to my blaster..for 250 more bucks i can get a complete 97 yz 250.. and my gilrs fathers basment is a machine shop...so it have to resources to make it happen..But otherwise it seems like a good deal!

Yeah I really am.. But its only because its my friends bike..and he is hooking me up.. Still though a water cooler YZ 250cc engine in a Blaster!! That sh*t should be sick!!!!! Id expect it to hang with my buddys 400's

i know that vitos is made by wiseco,i also know that if u want to go fast it costes money how else did i get my blaster fast as it is today? answer= worked my ass off, saved up my money when i could have spent it on junk.

yes i have firsthand experiance with vitos pistons i used to own a 2002 blaster with a vitos 240 kit the piston melted like nothing! all i'm saying is the pistons are sh*t, the heads are good but pistons are sh*t!
and if you look on vito's site they are claiming something will produce 5 hp more and they do not have proof!

and i have one friend with a high comp gasket from vitos in his blaster and it was leaking like a biotch

nobody is pointing a gun to your head so you go with what a person says!

there is something called FREEDOM OF SPEECH

chypertext lets just keep this a friendly converstation instead of flaming each other

yes i agree with dirty blaster, but any cast piston is sh*t and vitos really shouldnt sell them, they trick people into buying them bc they are really low priced, b ut the break so easily

Yeah vitos pistons are sh*t. I don't have any experience with their high compression gasket, but i have a couple friends with the 240. It runs and adds a lot of power, but like all vitos items it doesn't give the hp they claim. Im actually planing on buying one myself and a 3mm stroker.

yeah that with a 35mm carb, lrd pipe and outerwears filter. And lots of chrome with black and orange paint. But i might go with the 265 kit i found online.

Yes, some people...again, some people buy the cheaper cast piston because they don't have the money for the forged, so when you have the cast piston, they break easy...I will agree...CAST pistons SUCK! However, spend the money and buy the forged kit. The kit comes with the high compression head gasket which is essential for the vitos piston.

Lack of experience with vito's pistons will lead to it breaking easier.

See there again here lies the problem...you don't know what you have. With Vito's pistons, you MUST have the high compression head gasket, if not, you lose all the horsepower you were shooting for. Have you even asked them for a dyno sheet or anything to prove the 5hp?

Your friends head shouldn't leak, it's probably because he didn't use the torque pattern that it describes in the book.

I commend you as a 14 or 15 year old to save the money for what you want, but I am 27 and make enough for my toys and spend a lot of money on them to be fixed, or to go fast.

I am not trying to turn this into a flame thread, I just want the record set straight about Vito's pistons.

what abought verteck pistons ? i have one in my blaster n it still runs great lots of compression

y do u need a high compression head gasket with a vitos piston, and can u use the gasket with out a vito piston

You need the high compression head gasket because of the cut out on the top of the piston on the exhaust side. I believe, from what I understood after speaking to Vito's, that the piston tricks the cylinder into thinking the exhaust port is larger than it really is, essentially adding power.

As far as using the head gasket by itself, it won't do much. The 1.5 hp that they claim is not a lot therefore, you may not even be able to tell.

was told vitos n verteck melt nothin melt yet

The only place I have heard of the verteck piston is on eBay. I don't buy anything not name brand off eBay. I will research it on wednesday and let you know what I find out.

I sit behind a desk all day with nothing to do. When I have nothing to do, I research this stuff and make sure what I am doing is good or else I find something better.
