Vitos 240 kit...........What carb?

I do plan on getting a high volume pipe ( F7,dyno port, ect.) but it will be a while after the big bore kit. so whats a good size where it wont run like sh*t with the fmf pipe?, but when I get a high volume pipe it wont be too small? If that makes any sense at all
Dose 32 sound about right?

35mm airstyker. Thats what I'm running on my motor. I also know of another member thats running a 35mm on his stock bore, ported cylinder.

It is going to depend on what rpm you are trying to achieve peak hp, which will also depend on the porting and the pipe. 35 IMO is a bit on the large side for 232cc trail motor. Drag motors may be as much as a 41 on alcohol but I'd stay around a 38 on gas. What is the intended use of the engine and what pipe/port combo do you plan on in the future? It is better to undercarb than to overcarb.

Well the reason why I haven’t replied back lately is b/c I've been looking at the L.A. sleeve kit. I have heard good things about the la kit but never gotten a clear answer.

What I'm looking for is, good mid range power with decent top end.......while at the same time not taking too much low end away. I ride gravel pits, aggressive trails and flats. so a little bit of everything.

What is the best for me "out of the box" LA or vito?

either bb kit can require the same carb sizing if set up to the same porting specs. For a 232cc trail motor set up to make peak power in the 6500-7000 range I'd recommend a 32-33 mm carb, 34 being the very largest I'd recommend. On a dune or aggressive dune type setup I'd go with a 34-35mm. Bang for the buck the Vito's kit is the way to go. The LA kit is nice and has a little more potential due to the larger reed cage, but for the money you can have the vito's kit worked and a VF-3 cage.
