Vin on Frame

I was reading on here that the vin is on the lower frame near the foot pedal...is this this one engraved into the metal?? because i cant seem to find any vin number on this frame now that its apart... but there is a old sticker on the frame that has what is a vin number according to the vin look up... its a 1990...is the vin just a sticker back in this era of blasters??

no. look right inn front of the left heel rest.

there is nothing there for sure 100% .. but why would someone remove the vin number.. to put a really old looking yamaha sticker thats on the frame which is a good vin according to the yamaha vin look up thingy... i looked over and over again.. nothing is punched into the metal of this frame.

i'm almost 100% sure that it is on the left side but i could be wrong.

are there any scratch marks? where the vin is?

nothing that looks like someone really took it off.. but again.. why the sticker with the vin number if your gonna take the vin off... i know on my older trail boss the vin is just on a sticker...

theres no sticker 100% positive on that.

well this one shows that it was made in 3/90 i assume march of 1990..and it has the vin number underneath on the sticker... ill take a picture of it tomorrow when im back out in the garage....

just look under the end of the shifter give that whole bar a good rub if its not there i might have been resprayed !

the vin is on the lower frame rail on the left side of the bike. More than likely the bike has been repainted and it was filled in, its not very deep at all. If it has been ground off the frame then you could have a stolen bike.

its been resprayed but i still dont see any indented numbers...

but no one has ever seen yamaha motor corp white sticker that shows the manufactuer date and vin number on it???

Interesting...Ive ran the vin number and the bike hasnt been reported stolen.... at least this vin hasnt.. LOL
