found a used vforce reed block for the blasty, i remember fitting boyessen reeds to a kx i had once think they were the plastic type not CF, anyway i recall reading they only lasted a certain amount of time before they lost their best properties and werent as rigid i guess.
anyway, im not sure how old the petals in this v force will be, is it worth changing them or do they last for ages?

By "gap in the opening" you mean if i pull the cage out and look at it, the reeds should sit tight against the cutouts right?

I just pulled the stock reeds out and one of them is more relaxed then the other by about 1/4"-1/2" back.....

Anyhow im ordering some parts should i just pick up some vitos reeds for my stock reed cage while im ordering the other parts? (found on eGay for about $25)...

thanks for the input guys, ive not got it yet im waiting for the guy who has it to contact me. ill replace them for sure if they are damaged or bent. i was just a little curious as to how long the petals last before they loose their ability to snap shut as quickly as when they were brand new, as far as i understood the boyessens lost their full potential, still worked/looked ok, but just not quite as rigid as when new.
its kinda hard to explain what im trying to say, but you know what i mean.
