Just wanted to throw this question out there.

I bought a VforceIII reed cage for my 2006 blaster and after installing and tuning my quad it ran for a while then stalled and wouldnt start..?

After checking everything over I pulled the vforce reeds out and the freaking petals fell off ! We reinstalled the petals and reed cage and tried again ...bam same thing happened.

Took the reeds back got another set from the ATV shop installed them, again ran for a while then bam ....wouldn't start, and you guessed it after removing the reeds I found the petals again fell out into the intake...?

I even called tech support at Vforce and they cant explain it.

After putting in my stock reed cage it still runs perfect...

Has anyone else had problems with this type of reed cage for the blaster..?

Wow i has the same problem.. Make sure that you have both pieces in stalled. there is a littele piece with the hole in it, that the piece that holds the petals from falling out. When i first installed the reeds i didn't use that piece and my pedals kept fallin into the intake. There should be the reed block and another piece that doesnt look like ya need it, but that piece is crutial... Pm me if ya need any more help.

Is it the reeds on the inside of the cage or the out side of the cage that are falling off????
If all three pieces of the cage are there I don't see how they are falling out??
We've got two sets of them and they are the single best upgrade we ever made on the blasters!

He's just not using that little black piece with the round hole. Oh yea when you put that piece in, make sure the matches the intake boot. Without that piece in there theres a 1/4 inch gap so it slide back wich allows th petal to fall out. Cost us 2 first place races because of it. Once i git it figured out it ran even better. With my kid running it he'll spank a stock 450. He weighs 100 pounds.

Wow thanks guys....

Funny because the atv shop I bought them from told me to leave off the back piece with the whole because it chokes the blasters airflow..?

but it makes since to have that piece in there that would help keep thing tight

you might still encounter the problem, i had them on my bike for less than 5 mins and it sucked the petal right off the cage and shot out my exhaust in a million pieces, i had the thing assembled with all the pieces when this happened too so i dunno but i don't like them, id go with G3's or Boyesen Carbon Pro's, just my opinion...

Hello again

I reinstalled the Vforce3 reeds with the back piece and the factory intake hose after shaving the airfoil on the factory pipe so the vforce reeds sit flush.

blaster fired right up and so far has Not sucked any petals yet.

I ran about 5 1/2 mile full speed runs with it tonight and so far so good

Feels like I got more Mid Range and top end....I'll beat it up again tomorrow let you know what happens.

thanks for all your help.
