vf3 reeds

are vf3 reeds really worth the money compared to stock reeds how much power is gained?

I think VF3 reeds will give better flow on a built motor. I can't give much input on it because I have not done any comparisons with reeds myself.

VF3's will give way better throttle response than other reeds, based on the design of the cage. While I wouldn't say its much of a power gain, the increased throttle response is very noticable and a good mod to compliment other upgrades such as an exhaust. I'd also have to agree with blasterdemon that they seem to have much better flow.

If you have the money VF3s are a good buy, but for my money I prefer dual stage Boysens.
