V Force Reeds and Stock Manifold question

Ok, so i installed the V force reeds i bought, and when i went to install the stock manifold i notice that the rubber air flow wing thing that is on the manifold jams into the reed cage. So my question is, do i cut that off so the cage butts flush with the back of the manifold or is something wrong.

I did buy a moose racing manifold setup, but its back ordered and i wanted to use this reed setup this weekend.

i bought it on Ebay as is, for $36 so i dont have any instructions or anything

yes that little rubber peice needs to be cut off flush with the rubber on the intake
