I was thinking my hybrids clutch was slipping in high rpm's. But I think it maybe my reeds. The leading edges are showing some wear. I'm thinking the reeds are fluttering. What do you think?

Wow, first off you got one heck of a spot to do a plug chops :)..

I heard the slip ??? that's what it sounded like anyways and that's what I would think. But you say the clutch all checks out. Fibers are good, plates are good ? Have you tried adjusting the clutch at all ? It really sounds like the clutch is slipping. Have you looked back and made sure the tires aren't spinning ?

I know you go through things well but I have to ask, is the float set correctly? main jet plug chops coming out well ? Running through the fuel quicker than the bowl fills you will get a "lean burst of power" for lack of better words. But it would usually bog out if ran continuous high rpm.

Yours just hits that one spot and then clears right back up?

I reset the fuel level today. Spent a good amount of time on it for that matter. The pilot jet was to lean. Went from a 40 up to a 42. Stock is 45. I'll be getting a 45 pilot when I can. Stock main is 168 and mine is a 170. I'm going to get some more mains. Compression is 235 psi. Needle set at 3rd spot from the top. I think I'm suckling the bowl dry to be honest. When I can, I'm going to order more reeds as well.

That road is at my moms. It's a pretty good place to check plugs for sure. Spent many years riding up and down that road. Left some skin in it at one time...lol its an hour from here.
