Aright everyone get ready for a retard moment, ( feel free to laugh ) I just did a rebuild and I think I put the gasket for the VF3 reeds in the wrong spot. Does the gasket go against the motor / jug or in between the reed block and intake manifold ? I'm pretty sure when I bought my blaster the gasket was in between the reed block and intake manifold and when I put the reeds back on after the rebuild I put the gasket against the motor first then reed block then intake manifold and now I have a little oil/ sludge build up coming from my reeds. Any help would be awesome as I'm out in my garage trying to figure out how it goes so I can try out my new jets and get plug chopping. Thanks a lot in advance !

Both Banshee and Blaster I put gasket between cage and cylinder. Carb boot has rubber bead that should seal, tho have seen mention of leaks there. If you think you're having an issue, pull it, clean it, and put some seale on it.

I got some red rtv cause it was the only one rated for high temps ... I figured I'd get more use out of that rather then buying somethin I could only use on my reeds. That should be sufficient for the reeds right ?

you'll be fine with the red rtv
but a leakdown test, as mentioned, and linked to above, is the only sure way to confirm zero air leaks

I know your definately right about that, I should just stop bein a dumb a$$ and buy one from slick. I'm gonna ask him what my options are for payment as I don't have paypal. I usually go buy a prepaid mastercard whenever I buy stuff online so I don't have to use nothin with my s.s.n. or bank account number ( don't wanna risk identity left or anything like that ) Thanks again for the advice man !

So I was out riding today and my reeds fell out / slipped down out of place again. This happened once before so I bought some replacement vf3 reeds hoping to solve my problem. I was riding down a hill today after about 2 hours of riding and my blaster dies. Does anyone know what would cause my reeds to keep slipping down out of place ? ( besides a sh*tty design in my opinion, if they used screws to hold the reeds in place I wouldn't have this problem )
