Tuning Question

Hey, Im mark. kinda new to the blaster forums

i have a 2002 Blaster. Right now it has a .40 bored motor, weseco piston, cometic gaskets, FMF Gold Series Pipe, FMF Powercore Silencer, TORS removed, and oil injection removed.

I live in Northern New Jersey. Im currently Running 32:1 mix with Spectro 2 cycle.

My question is this. I am running the stock 26mm carb, stock jets,stock reeds

does anyone think with my set up it would benifit me to go to a bigger carb??? 28 mm ??? or bigger??? also if i was to stay with the stock 26mm carb, what jets should i run? size wise??


also do u recomend boyesen reeds or get a nice set of Vforce??

PS: Im also looking for an aftermarket front bumper, any skid plates, rear grab bar, the new carb( Bigger or stock), and any other performance parts

my budget is a lil tight right now as i just got the motor back from the machine shop yesturday

but im willing to work some deals as well

also if anyone has input on my best decision... should i stay stock 26mm carb and jet it??? with what jets... or bump it up to a bigger carb

i do weekend riding....

i used to race motox and harescrambles when i was alot younger... now im an older guy and im not as serious.. but i also know how to ride soo i get on it alot

I got a 240 cyinder
Fully ported
72.26mm bore
Comes with custom cut swirl chamber head.

It needs to be bored out to 72.5 and also needs a piston.
I will sell it for $175 shipped. Another $125 or so bucks on piston and boring and you will have close to double the horsepower you have right now.
This setup would've easily cost you $1500 or more new.

I might also accept trades if you have car audio equipment..

Get some Boysen reeds and port the reed cage with a dremel...
Or buy a set of VF3 reeds and never look back.
If you plan on staying unported a 30mm carb will do a lot of good along with the reeds..

well for starters, jet the carb to the pipe. If you keep stock jets in with any after market pipe its gonna run extremely lean and blow up
