i pulled my stock pipe off tonight.. and there is something openly rolling around inside the pipe.. sounds like metal.. but i cant get it out.. how the fk did it get in there if i cant get it out??? does the stock head pipe have some kinda baffle in it that could have broke off???


ill end up cuttin it open since i got the fmf from the wifes blaster on mine.. and the one i bought from braaap is gonna go on hers

one prob.. my sawzall id fkd!! i cant cut nothing up!! .. ill get it open im curious to see whats rattling around in it.. sinc ei was playin with the pipe for 10 min trying to get what ever it is out so idk how it got in there

IT could be a chunk of ice. Seriously. I had my yz sitting, took the exhaust off, and i thought it was the pistion, but i was block of ice in the header!

My guess is the exhaust gasket broke down and fell in.

im surious to, i know its metal. i herd it rattling in the pipe the other day, and i rode got 4 hours yesterday so i know it snot ice,,, and what ever it is its a pretty good size chunk of something

yes and a FYI there is baffling and insulation in the stock expansion chamber/head pipe.. i cut it open to get that out.. if anyone would like to see the inside of a stock pipe i can cut it open all the way and take pics..

no wonder why the stock pipe kills power so much

and it looks to be some kinda cones the should sit right about before the exit of the expansion chamber, as it tapers down to the spall size

From the outside the stock pipe looked bad enough.. When you add all that stuff inside no wonder they say just about any pipe is better then stock. Thats crazy all for emissions and sound stuff though.

im gonna.. there is a screen like mesh thats around the outside of the pipe, and between that and the outter shell is insulation.. simmaler to silencer packing, but more like a sheet of it not wads
