So i was warming up my quad like normal, and then i started riding, and all of sudden it just went wide open bout threw me off, I was flipping out thought i had to re-build the motor even though it only has 2.1/2 hours on motor, Wife came out and ask if i wanted food and i blew up on her haha, so then i was adjusting the set screw on the carb, and tearing stuff apart, and then realized i was low on fuel....... This is my first 2 stroke (never go back to 4) but i thought if it was low it would just bog down.... man i felt so stupid hahaha

No its defiantly not sticky throttle, defiantly low fuel besodes rpms went down after releasing.gap

what carb do you have on it? my tmx would rev really high when i was running out

Low on fuel and out of fuel a two different things. As it runs out it's just like an air leak you have an extreme lean condition and even with throttle closed it will rev because of lean. It can get to the point of auto-ignition where even switch won't kill it, put in gear, hold brake well, dump clutch.

Running out of gas creates a leaner than optimal mixture and causes the motor to race.

A lean mixture will tend to make a lot more power than a properly jetted one.

This is a very dangerous symptom, often folks think that the motor is running extremely well, but will very quickly fry a piston due to excessive heat caused by detonation.

Idk on carb id have to look again not at home i know its twist though

And yea it was running really good then boom rev hugh, butt i got fuel and its running like a champ again
