LOoks like there is plenty of fuel in the cylinder. what kinda white stuff? maybe you need to pull the flywheel off and clean the pick up off i wouldNT go buyin anything yet
agreed, don't run off and spend a hondo on a new carb till you know that's the prob.
i'd pull the flywheel like biotch said. that could def be the cause of your weak ignition.
also, did you check the plug in the main circuit as well as idle?
did you check the plug in the main circuit as well as idle? what do u mean i have checked for spark is this what ur asking it gets a yellow spark then ever couple is blue
View My Video
thats a vid of me trying to start it
well its not showing the vid but u can here it and this is one of the better nights it dont uswaly start and run that long
id try a new plug and than put a little gas in were the spark plug goes put in the plug kick it and just rev it like 1/2 throttle and see what happens dont play with the throttle just constant amount so it might clean out w.e is in there and clean the carb maybe jet up?
ill try that tomaro night and the white stuff it looks like some kinda powderish but had gottend wet and dryed like spots on a car when u dont wipe the water off and in the back behind the flywheel from what i can see looks like evan more white
the white stuff is just oxidized aluminum from being out in the atmosphere. it's normal. aluminum instantly starts oxidizing when ever parts/pieces are manufactured or welded on. one example is car rims thats why they clear coat them after polished to keep it shiny/polished look. what you can do is pull flywheel get some fine sand paper or emery cloth like 120 grit . lightly sand the flywheel magnets and lightly sand the lighting coil and ignition coil contacts to get off the oxidized residue and excessive rust. be careful not to bump or break any wires that come from the coils. if this is causing weak spark you will notice spark will be much better when you put it back together and check spark again.
maybe also check to see if you have a flywheel cover gasket or if it is already missing. that will minimize water etc getting into the ignition cover. if you don't have one you can order one which is rubber type gasket at yamy dealer or you can go get gasket material and trace and make your own.
i accidently ordered 2 pullers for mine when i made an order. i paid $10 dollars a piece i think new .it's a tusk brand. it's never been opened. ill sell it to you for $5 plus whatever shipping comes to from minnesota?
yea well i alredy have some 1/4 inch steel rod for it and its only guna be like 21/2 inch long so im pirty sure they will have pletny of strenth but its a good idea
