I got my top end bored out got a new Wiseco piston, gaskets and everything. I also got a 30mm OKO carb. It started up and ran good but would not idle which turned out to be missing a step in the TORS removal. Then I started it and let it idle for a few minutes and it reved up really high. I called the shop that bored it for me and they said it may be an air leak. I took the reed valves out and replaced gasket and it seemed like my throttle cable was tighter than before. I then took the throttle cable completely off and ran it again. I put the adjustment in the same place on the thumb lever and tried to start it. Now it sounds like it is getting too much gas. I have tried readjusting the throttle setting and didn't get much change. Does anybody have any suggestions that might help. I would appreciate the help. I haven't had it running in over a year and feel like I am very close, but just can't seem to get it working. Please let me know if you have any ideas.

I did not rejet it, but the factory that bored it also sold me the carb and we talked about the location and elevation and he selected the jetting for my application. It did run good before it reved up high. I will recheck on the jetting though. Thanks for your thoughts.

Do u have the slide in the carb the correct way?? Sounds like it could be it backwards..if u look at the slide there is a notch near the bottom..this should line up with the idle adjustment screw when u put slide it...it will go in incorrectly..but will go down in there further correctly...
