ok the oter day iwas ridein and my weld on my shifter lever broke so i got home and welded it back on then today i went to ride it and it goes threw 1rst 2nd and netral normal and no 3rd 4th or 5th.....and 6th but wat is wrong when i would shift to thrid it would act like neutral so is my shifter fork braoke or wat else coulsd this be
 
i dnt think so it just doesnt tgo beyond 3rd that is why i was wondering if the weld that holds the fork broke but idont kno it could be my shifter star 2 but im gona tear into it 2maro
 
ya check shifter star id check to see if its binded or fork could be some how missing the star might not be grabing the gears rit.
 
that happened to me to, im almost 100% positive its your shift shaft... the transmissions in the blasters are pretty bulletproof unless you really do something bad.
 
im having a similar problem but mine is that it seems like i have half gears. i have to shift into second gear then lightly bump the shifter down and back up to get into 3rd its the same for 2nd - 6th gear i replaced the star and tried a different shift shaft i can go through all the gears by manually turning the star CAN ANYBODY HELP:-/
