Transmission bound up I think

I dont know the extent of your rebuild but did you have the clutch apart? If so did you put the ball bearing back in?

And let me see if im reading your post correctly...

Even if the kick starter assembly is removed the motor still wont turn over?As in you cant remove the kick starter assembly and then turn the engine over by hand?

If not id be looking for foreign debris in the motor.

Can you with the engine off shift freely through the gears N-6th gear?If not have a look at your shift drum.Had one break the key way off and wouldnt shift past third and felt as though the trans was binding.

Also forget about running the engine at this point until you can diagnose the issue and get it taken care of.

Ill look at the shift drum prob tomorrow or sat. That's my plan at least. Once some space is made. I'm going to do oil block off and maybe send cyl in for a port job. I live in an apt and my bike is at my parents so this weekend I should get it torn apart. I don't know how well the guy that rebuilt it skills are so it's hard to say how well the engine is put together. It's all good. Gives me a chance to learn more about the engine.

I agree with you there bro i gotta know whats going on in any engine i own.

I rarely buy anything that isnt ragged out or close to it but if i did id still have to dig into it and find out whats going on in there and what has or hasnt been done.
