10w 30 four stroke motor oil, pre SG rating, no friction modifiers.

I got a question about using the auto trans type F I asked a guy i work with and recommended using ATF he said it's thinner and it helps with the clutch plates to keep them free moving its not as sticky as motor oil but when i told my dad i was gonna use it he said nope stick with Yamaha recommended oil and i asked him why and he said Yamaha likes Yamaha stuff but couldn't give me more than that he said it been his experience with Yamaha that using other stuff is not a good idea
If you stick to the Yammy stuff, both your bike and your Dad will be very happy.
