Tranny Oil......

Hey guys I know there is alot of controversy over the best tranny oil.. I would like to know however what would be better to use if I hadto use one that I currently have in my garage. I have 80w-90 gear oil and 10w-40 Motorcycle oil with wet clutch protection. Which one would be better to use if I needed something in a pinch. I also was wondering if someone could tell me if you need to rejet if you advance the timming on the blaster. Thanks !

the 10w40 for wet clutch is probably better, not sure about the timing tho. i use 10w30 for all my stuff.

I don't think you need to rejet for the timing advance but not 100% on that. I would go for the 10w40

i believe the 80w-90 is too thick, maybe someone can back me up, or show i am wrong, and as long as there are no friction modifiers in or it isn't high mileage or something

It is too thick for the cold weather. You'd be much better off with the 10W-40

80W90 is too thick all of the time for a blaster. it wont be able to get into the spots it needs to.
the 10w40 would work.
next you are at walmart or somewhere, just get some ATF type F. it is cheap and works great.
