TORS

Just a quick question on TORS. If the TORS is not properly disconnected what symptoms would the bike have please be specific. (Would there be spark, would it attempt to start but never quite turn all the way over?) Just trying to troubleshoot here

The bike will start with the tors system hooked up even if its bad. It will just bogg down really bad when you try and ride it.

It will sputter when you give it gas, just like when the park brake is set and it won't rev up.

not necessarily. there are 3 things it could do. 1) not run at all 2) not idle (have to hit the throttle to keep it running) or 3)like they said, only want to idle. it depends where the defect is. it works off of two switches. one on top of the carb, and one in the throttle box. the way it works is when the throttle is closed, both switches are closed. when the throttle is open, both switches are open. if one switch is open and one is closed, it kills spark.

Ok so come to find out if you do not unplug the tors it will not start at all. I unpluged it and it fired right up. So thats fixed. Now the issue is that when I rev the bike up all it wants to do is sputter I cant get it to rev up. Any suggestions? Do I unplug the other connection for the TORS?
