Ok I know this has been covered like a million times but I talk to a guy at a shop today and he told me to remove the tors... and these are the instructions he gave me: 1. Unplug black box that doesn't have orange wire 2. Unplug throttle switch and carb switch ok well I have no idea about any of this... I looked for the black box and the only one under the hood was one that had an orange wire going into it. I just need like an detailed way of doing this cuz I really want to get this thing back together and ride cuz its been apart for a few months now

So basically all I have to do is disconnect the yellow/black wire and ground it out?... in the instructions the guy gave me he said to unplug the throttle and carb switches? I'm just so confused on what to do like I need a full process of doing it like step by step

the instructions he gave you don't apply to your quad.

connect the wires by the tors box on the carb, and by the thumb throttle switch, and then ground that wire.

To be clear, on an 03+ all you really have to do, apparently, is to ground the yellow/black wire that comes out of the cdi.

To do this, I unplugged both the carb switch (replaced carb) and throttle switch at the harness connectors. Then I cut the plug off my throttle switch, leaving about two inches of wire on it. I stripped and soldered the two wires together and plugged the connector back in. This made a jumper that connected the yell/blk to the black wire, effectively grounding it without chopping up the stock harness (maintaining resale value). I can always put a throttle switch and the stock carb back on.
