what is the tors. what does it do and why do you want to eliminate it?:">

just wondering

T.O.R.S. stands for Throttle Over Ride System but I dont remember exactly what it does but most people eliminate it because it can cause problems.

oh ok but if you get rid of it does it run any better or is the only reson for eliminating it is because it is unreliable?

TORS isn't unreliable. its a safety system that on the carb so that it will kill the enging if the throttle ever sticks. it uses a switch on the throttle to see if you are pushing in on it. if you are not and the engine is still revving up, it will shut it down.

it is often mis-diagnosed as a problem starter. rarely does it ever cause a problem. no, it's removal does not improve performance at all.

ok when then i will keep it on then, i just seen a kit to remove it on ebay and was wondering what t=it was.
