ok so this weekend i tried to unravel the wires and remove my TORS like i seen off youtube, and i have an 04, i notice the wire goes straight into the CDI box. idk how ima cut these wires now. or should i just cut the yellow and black and twist them. plus when i tried to crank my engine to see spark i line all the wires off the stator with the ones from the CDI and no spark. i dont get. can you help me out guys???

disconect everything to do with tors, and the 2 wires that go into the throttle, u have to splice those together. bam ya done!

no tors wires go into the cdi. they all go into the tors brain. its a black box that looks like the cdi except the tors has a larg connector on it rather then a bunch of free wires.

edit: ignore that ^^^^ and listen to awk :p I:I

lol its cool :D i feel like a caveman when i look at these wires thanks guys ima check it out. i think i may need a new cdi i got an 88-02 one new. but i have 04 wiring

I would follow the tutorial that awkward posted, then see if it will run before spending anything on a cdi

do you guys know which color wires hook up to the key switch. ima keep my keyswitch on i dont want people to try to steal it. i got a new key switch and the wires were red and brownish orange color. different from the 03-06 wires

should be a black and black/white stripe wire going to the keyswitch, and handlebar mounted killswitch

When I get my wiring all figured out, I will do a complete write-up of the CORRECT way to do a tors delete! Goning to have a mod remove all the others as i can say from experience, that splicing the carb and throttle switches does not work!

This is how I did mine..... Its a 2003.....

I wanted to install a TORS delete carb cap and idle screw kit in my stock VM26 carb,so I had to set the wiring strait. The three (3) Plugs that I had to deal with was...

#1 >>> The plug at the top of the stock carb that plugs into the TORS box that is mounted to the top of the carb.

#2 >>> The thumb throttle switch that is connected to the thumb throttle.

#3 >>> The parking brake switch that is connected to the parking brake/clutch assembly on the handle bars.

First I disconnected the plug that goes to the TORS assembly on the top of the carb. Leave this plug disconnected.
I then followed the wire that comes from the stock thumb throttle switch, down to its plug under the hood. This is the plug that I jumped. I don't ever plan on putting the thumb switch back on,so i cut the wires a few inches past the plug, then soldered and sealed with shrink tubing. In other words it goes like this... follow the wire from the thumb throttle to the plug under the hood, then go back up a few inches ( back toward the thumb throttle)and "snip" the wires. These are the two you "loop",or "jump" (connect). The last was the parking brake wire. This wire also goes to the CDI box. This prevents a person from reving up the engine when the parking brake is applied. This is what causes your engine to sound like "chog, chog, chog, chog" when you try to rev it up. This is another simple "Un-plug it" at the plug. You can now set the parking brake and rev the engine freely.

This is how I set up my 2003 blaster to eliminate the TORS system. I was also confused before I did mine, because I had trouble finding the "complete" method. Even the "motion pro" instructions for the carb cap delete sucked. they only gave partial information for the 2003-2006 Blasters. I hope this helps.

I tried those and was unsucessful! It sounds like something changed between 03 and 06 as some have luck and some dont.

Question, are you running a five wire stator? did you ground the green wire from the stator?
