I just got my jug voted 20 over and me and my dad are gonna put it back together today and my dad wanted me to ask you guys what to torque the head to. I have no idea what this means but he does lol

he is talking about using a torque wrench, set at say 50in-lb or something and tighting the nuts down till you reach that number.
i am not sure what the number is as i never use them.

I cant seem to find a small enough torque wrench to get those damn base nuts, any ideas???

Get a "feel" for what 18 lbs. is like on your torque wrench & just use a box end wrench on the base nuts with the same amount of pressure, that's what I do & have'nt had any problems.

they make a torque wrench adaptor to get to those. they carry it on rockymountainatv.com. it's pretty cheap I think. I just do mine by feel. not the right way but it has worked for me in the past

I strongly advise you go in steps of two or three.I like to split the torque setting up say half and go 9ftlbs on all then go 18 break it in and recheck that none backed off.also the permatex copper gasket adhesive works well in promoting a good seal.I use it on my juiced 5 litres and have yet to have a leak.

For those base nut use a crows foot to get them tight. Try to put the crows foot on the torque wrench at a 90 degree angle. If you put it on straight you will change the torque setting.

Motion pro makes an adapter for doing those... They even send you a conversion chart due to the length of the wrench... I love that tool!
