I have 2 Blasters, an 04 and an 01. The 01 is a good running quad, the 04 needs a top end, this is how I bought both. I would like to test the bottom end of the 04 before spending any money on it. I have a 3rd engine that I got with the 04. I want to build a big bore stroker but it will be as I get the money and may take several months to a year to do. In the mean time I'd like to have both quads running and ready to ride. My question is, would it be OK to pull the top end from one engine and put it on the other? If the bottom end is good I will try my hand at porting the extra cylinder, have it bored and put it back with a new piston and back on 1 of the quads, to have both running. If the 04's bottom end is not good I won't spend the money on a new top end and go straight into buying parts for the BB stroker.
