Hi i am currently stripping down my motor. I have a new 67mm piston in my spares. The piston that is in the motor now has 66.92 on the top, will the 67 fit and what size will i need to bore the cylinder?

Gotta check the bore and find out what size it is and if it's in good shape and how much clearance you have between the piston and cylinder if it is too loose you'll be doing a bottom end because of the skirt breaking off the piston

Yeah i have it all apart now i just have to bring it to the shop to get bored. How much clearance needed for a 67 piston?

The shop should know that. bring them the piston and cylinder and they should be able to.

but if you have gouges in the cylinder wall, you may need a bigger piston

There are different tolerances for cast and forged pistons.

The shop should know what to bore at when you give them the piston
