I have a 2000 blaster, it's bored .50 over and it has alot of hours on it. I was just wondering, when it does go, how much would it cost? And what all do i need to replace? I thought it was just the piston and gasket kit for like $100 on ebay, but i don't know if it's just that. Thanks

alright, but it's .50 over? do i got to .60 or hone it? or sleeve it? it won't be bad i'll probably rebuild it before it blows up so there wont be too much damage to the walls.
You can bore and or hone it to .60 if it needs, It will not have to be reesleved at this point unless there is a lot of damage to the cylinder.
Yes you could, it would take forever, plus if it were out of round or tapered it would still be out of round/tapered.
thats a good idea right there. once you decide its time to rebuild, take it off and take it to your shop and they will tell you exactly what needs to be done wether its a bore a hone or whatever.
shops will rape you half the time. i told my buddy we could rebuild his kx12, and instead he is paying $1000 to have it rebuilt
if he takes the cylinder to a good machine shop hes going to spend $50 - $80 for the bore/crosshatch. mine only cost $40 cash and the guy does a awesome job.
