So last year about this time I had the top and bottom end rebuilt on the blaster. It has about 60 hard hours on it and I can put it in firts gear and push the motor over it has that little compression. Still fires up quick and has all the power it ever had. I had the head off and the piston and cylinder look okay. Can I get away with just rings or should I get an oversized piston and bore job??

On a side not ever since I got this quad it has been really easy to kick over compared to my KTM 250 and CR 125. Are blaster kickstarters supposed to kick over that easy?? I could push it all the way down with my hand even after a fresh rebuild.

I also got a pretty nasty tick that I am hoping is the wrist pin bearing and noth the crank shaft bearings.

other than engine noise you probably need to do a hone and re-ring. I would do a compression test and see what it says. Also a trick that I learned last night from Kennedy is to take off your pipe and look at your rings. I have 60 hours on mine and it is fine and my friends daughter has over 300 hours in the dunes on the stock piston and rings.
