Just bought a new blaster and it came with a big bore kit i think 240, and what seems to be a 41mm keihen carb on it. It also has a spacer on the reeds. also comes with fatboy exhaust. I know the carb is too big. When i rode it at the guys house it started first kick and rode good. Once i got home i couldnt get it to start. Can it be the carb size?

Update. I dont think its a 240, 220 maybe. But anyway i just sprayed a tadbit of starting fluid and still nothing. Does this mean its electrical? I also put in a new spark plug and fresh gas. Any ideas?

1 - no more starting fluid lol
2 - Take the plug out of the cylinder, and check for spark by kicking it over and touching the threads to the cylinder.
3 - Compression test
4 - If its not a 240 then its def not a 220, CLICK HERE to see a bore to CC chart. Only way to get to a 22 is on the last bore of the stock sleeve and a +3mm Stroker crank.
5 - report back after doing 1-3

I think i dont have spark. I put the spark plug in the boot and held the end to bare metal and no spark. Whats the first thing i should do? Why would it not have spark if it just ran hours ago and all it did was ride 2 hours in the back of a truck

Check that kill and ignition switches are in the run position. Check that spark plug boot is tight on wire, better yet, remove, trim 1/4" off wire, reinstall with dielectric grease.
Do all mentioned above.

Which end of carb did you measure? Engine side is what you want.

try a new plug first, could just be a fouled plug....NGK B8ES

Finally got it working. was a rigged kill switch the last owner installed that wasnt connected properly. Thanks for all the help.

BTW....were you measuring the inside of the front of carb (engine side) when you came up with 41mm ?
