This is what Im doing today while it is raining out. Hopefully get it all done today..

Ya I have one that looks alot like a hammer and a block of wood.HEHE. I do have a puller to press the crank out of the case but not to pull the flywheel off or pull the crank back into the case. I had to tear it apart because the case cracked. I did get it altogether, and Ill have to take some pics of it. I got it sitting in the bike last night with the pipe on it. Today Ill try to work on it some more. Crappy weather up here in Wisconsin, due to Ike..

ITs AAAALLLLIIIIIVVVVEEEEE!!!!!! I fired it up today and it runs great... Just have to get chain and sprockets and I can drive it.. Cant wait...

I laid the crank down on some wood and tapped the case LIGHTLY with a mallet. It went in slowly but in none the less. I was worried about not having a puller, but I local Yamaha shop owner said he does not like using pullers because you dont know when something is binding.... Sounded good for me. Now I just have to figure out my jetting. Started with a 340, way to fat unless you take the lid off. Not sure,, any suggestions?

240 is stock,, just does not seem to be enough. I dont want to blow it up. I bored .20 with stock silencer, with a pipe, and KN filter.

stock jetting would prob be close....what's your altitude in wi?
even w/ an a-m silencer, you don't really have to go up too much, esp if you're above, say, 1000ft.
i had the same issue w/ my engine, first i blew up the piston so i pulled the cases apart and found a hole on one of my halves!! so here she sits till my new case half comes in (hopefully today).
you're much more organized than me.

230 is stock, so maybe thats your problem, maybe you were getting to much? but i would guess it would be around 260!
