Hey guys i was wondering for the guys who race if they think it would be ok to use a 86 Atc 250r shock to race with a stock swinger.

Depends on what kind of racing and how good you want to do. But in general suspension should be your first upgraded and should be done right. If your bike handles like sh*t you will not have good finishes, you will not have fun and it is dangerous.

you will def want to get some more suspension travel out of it, i have A/M shocks all the away around my blaster with stock arms/swinger and that bit me in the ass with a serious knee injury (season ender for any sport basically)

It will ride way too high and be unstable. If you mx, keep your seat height as low as possible.

Personally I'd get a works rear that was ment for a blaster, then when/if racing gets serious and you have the cash build a true long travel set up....when your ready for that we can help.

i would do a long travel extended swinger from the get-go if possible.
