i have a like 2 month dirt digger kit with a the harden springs and i have a 240bb with a fairly agressive port work and a shaved head and it has 148 lbs of compression i and running boysen reeds with a 30 mill mikuni or 34? one of the to it has a lot done to it but my question is why does it feel like the clutch is slipping like i got through the gears and it whines rite out then i braap braaap braap the throttle and it goes faster? do you think my push rods are out of adjustment help or tips word be good

put your bike in 3 going pretty good stab the gas and apply the rear brake if the motor revs but doesnt accel then it slips if it lugs down or stalls your ok

i have no rear brake maybe its time for that hydro but ya im running mobil 1 10w 40 i hate to sound stupid but it just feels like it slip but it goes like hell could it be because of my 18in razors??

dude just normal motor oil??? You NEED to use 2 stroke oil that helps the wet clutch system... That may be why its slipping. The two oils have differnt additives and what not and motor oil is made for dry (regular) clutch like in your car or truck. Hope this helps

well yeah dude, I have heard of the non 2 stroke stuff causing slippage problems. Get some good 2 stroke oil and try that before you tear apart your clutch. Just make sure it says "for 2 stroke engines or for wet clutches" on the bottle

before you do anything, dump that oil and pick up some bel ray gearsaver 80w tranny oil
i have a ported 240 on a stock clutch and have experienced no slipping.

And that is why your clutch is slipping. Mobli 1 motor oil can not be used with a wet clutch. It's just to slippery.

I agree it has no friction additive to it. It is too thin and slippery for the clutch.

I just use 10W40 pensoil (nonsynthetic) for my bikes and never had a problem.

I also change my gear oil after every ride.

There is nothing wrong with using conventional oil.
Is this a problem thats been on going or it just started happening?
Have you try adjusting the clutch?

i have played with the adjuster but where is the arrow on the case i havent found i have always adjusted it when rideing and get to my setup but its done since i got the big bore and put 18s on it

Was the Mobil 1 oil sinthetic or conventional?
The only thing left now is to pull the clutch cover and check out the fibers and steels.
You should not be eating up an aftermarket clutch in 2 months.
It is possible that your clutch adjustment nut on your pressure plate is too tight and not letting your clutch lock all the way.
Do you have 'free play' in your clutch lever?
Do the fibers still look good?
