Hi guys iv got a guy in the uk that is gonna do me a good deal on aluminium rims for my quad.

Question i have is..

I want to know what is better

Dunlop Tires

Or

Maxxis Razr 2


as i can get them for the same price. but not sure which would suit me best.

i will be riding tracks all the time now due to my local quarry being closed.

tracks i ride are changed every time as i ride a dirt track one time then a sand track next. so needing best of the above to use for the both tracks.

Hard to answer this as have no idea of tread pattern or ply rating of the Dunlops.

Choose the one you think would suit the surface conditions.

The Maxxis are a 6 ply and a heavy tyre and can interfere with accelleration.

Are you thinking of the Dunlop 6 ply Quadmax?

The Dunlop are the dearer tyre but not always the best.

yeah man my mate has dunlop on his blaster but i do like the razr 2 tread lol

Looks like these has a similar tread as the Maxxis, you may be able to get in your size.

cheers man! il need to see what the guy can get as i don't want to buy anything from the us that will take fees lol but il see if guy can get these whats the best size to go with on the front and rear ? running the 14/40 gearing

With a high gearing you do not need a tall tyre otherwise you will loose get up and go.

Do the trails you ride require ground clearance?

its just tracks man no trails unless that's what you mean lol but its a race track has small,medium and large tabletops with small bumps in the middle. i know theres trails near me but i don't use them.

18" seem to be a good size to run with 14:40.
