If you grab my handlebars you can wiggle them back and forth alil bit so I was wondering if there is anyway I could tighten this up or what the problem would be linked to. thanks

are you sure its your steering stem? check the ball joints where the tie rods meet the stem and spindles. maybe they are going bad. i have 2 brand new ball joints that i can give you a good price on for the inner tie rod/stem area if you need them.

There are wear bushings in your steering stem that you can get for like $10. Just some plastic pieces that they sell at the dealerships.

If the play is definitely in the steering stem that is.

true, i forget about that upper bearing/ rubber boot that is often a squeak spot. maybe it just loosened up a little.

I am worried to try and take the stem off my Blaster because I completely took my parts bike apart and when I was taking the bolt off of the bottom of the steering stem the threaded part that the bolt goes onto completely busted off!

just under the handlebars and your headlight is a clamp that holds the stem tight to the frame. check to see if its loose. if not, tighten the bottom nut a little and see if that helps. if neither of those are giving you results, it may be the ball joints that are bad and loose.
