Ok so I was cleanin her up today and decided to ride the trails a couple times after i did. And when i was riding, i noticed that when i push the throttle right past idling point, it bogs out on me. everytime i would be foolin around in 1st gear everytime i gave her a tad bit of throttle she would bog out on me. but any other times its fine. doesnt happen in any other gear. only happpens when i rev it just past idling point. i cant identify the problem. anyone know what it is?

might want to adjust the fuel mix screw may be just a tad off making it to rich for take offs or the carb could use a cleaning
first things you start with with a not runing right blasty clean air filter and oil it new plug clean the carb is where i would start
Its not really when i "take off" when it happens. its just when i give it the slightest throttle after idling point, in neautral, and in first gear....
that would be a good idea, my plug is nasty and havent cleaned my carb or air filter for like a year now.... thats probably bad... i'll clean them up next week, when i do my yearly physical on her... hehe... gotta make sure the hardwares runnin good and smooth!
you havent cleaned the air filter for a year do you like having a good top end and be sure to oil it also not motor oil air filter oil i know alot of people ask if they can use it
i know the difference.... but i hear u can buy filter oil thats the same thickness and consistancy of motor oil, but yea i know all about filter oil
Could just be loaded up, if your plug is nasty, its prob just loaded up, but yeah, clean filter an fresh plug.. Hell I bet a fresh plug will cure it
i had a problem like that everytime i would get on it it bogged way daown and would die if i didnt let off it.... turns out my jet came unscrewed and was just laying in the carb... reinstalled and runs like a champ.
